Serious Results. Unseriously.

We’re a small boutique learning design consultancy. We help organizations create customized content for leadership development, team effectiveness, and employee training programs.

This Is How We Do It

  • We like (most) humans and strive to find solutions that work in real life for real people.

  • We know stuff, but not everything. Humility keeps us curious, which keeps us learning.

  • We deliver serious results, unseriously. We believe laughter and levity fuel innovation.

  • But not in a bad way! We love to experiment, iterate, and create together with our clients.

Dan Leavitt, Owner & Chief Levity Officer (CLO)

OK, we know we’re all sick of these overly clever, nonsensical job titles (we’re looking at you, process ninjas!) But Dan couldn’t help himself; he was powerless against a good, or even a bad, pun.

In addition to his love of puns, Dan has spent over [REDACTED] years in learning & development, training, and instructional design. While his childhood dream was to be a writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL), he’s found this whole L&D thing to be a solid fallback. He believes every great facilitator and coach is 1/3 amateur stand-up comedian, 1/3 ex-theater kid, and 1/3 self-styled academic. It should be noted, however, that there’s currently no empirical evidence to back this theory.

During his career, he’s been lucky to work with some of the world’s best leaders at iconic brands like Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Facebook, and Instagram. He’s worked as an influential individual contributor, manager, and director, supporting all levels, from frontline staff to C-Suite leaders.

He lives in Southern California’s Inland Empire. He has three sons, two stepsons, one wife, and a stray cat.

Behold, the humble banana peel

The banana peel is our hero. This long-time comedy staple is one of the oldest running gags, from silent films to Billy Madison. We love it because:

  1. It’s just plain funny!

  2. You often have to peel back the layers to get to the good stuff

  3. It reminds us of those little, everyday mistakes and unexpected encounters: it helps us to remember to laugh, learn and lean in

“Life is full of banana skins. You slip, you carry on.”
